Each litter is carefully planned, and our puppies receive the best possible start in life from specialised, dedicated all-time nursing care, through a specially designed, advanced curriculum and socialisation programme.
I proudly hold a BSc degree in Veterinary Nursing, with nearly 10 years of experience in the profession.
I have also completed a City & Guilds Veterinary Nursing Emergency and Critical Care certificate and hold Fear Free certification.
My background enables us to provide excellent care, ensuring the well-being and happiness of our beloved Whippets.
Our Story
Dogs have been part of my life since early childhood. From 2006, when I was 12, I developed a strong interest in all things canine and the dog show scene in Poland. With growing enthusiasm, support, and encouragement from my family, I became involved in Junior Handling, where I successfully competed across the country, gaining valuable experience and knowledge in handling various dog breeds, including my beloved Whippets.
This was the moment I fell in love with the breed - their remarkable, affectionate temperament and their elegant, delicate yet resilient appearance and outline. It took nearly ten years for my dream to become reality, but eventually, after a long wait, my dream came true, and in October 2015, I welcomed my first Whippet, Fay - Nugabe Barbie Juarez, from Spain. From that moment, Fay has been a devoted companion, demonstrating her excellence both in and out of the show ring and being a true joy to live with.
In January 2018, the kennel name "Shannavarius" was officially registered with the Irish Kennel Club (IKC) and the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI). Our aim is to breed healthy, true to the breed standard dogs that are fit for function, with an outgoing, strong, and loving temperament.
We endeavour for the excellence of this breed in type and soundness, providing versatile dogs for companionship, the show ring, and more.
Our Philosophy
We are Whippet breed enthusiasts and preservationists, first and foremost. We have genuine love for the breed and are fully committed to our dogs' welfare, well-being, and overall health. We dedicate a lot of work, love, and care to our dogs to ensure they live long, happy lives with us as beloved family members. All our breeding plans are carefully considered and selected, aiming to improve and preserve this iconic breed. We strive to place our puppies in the best homes and families, ensuring they are set up for a lifetime of success by creating the best matches.
We are registered with the Irish Kennel Club - the most prominent canine organisation in Ireland supporting responsible breeders and purebred pedigree dogs since the 1920s, which is also a member of The Fédération Cynologique Internationale - the world's largest canine organisation uniting purebred enthusiasts and preservationists.
I'm a committee member of The Whippet Club of Ireland and a member of The Whippet Club UK.
